At Longwood Stables the philosophy behind our breeding program is that "only the best is good enough". We are committed to breeding exceptional Dutch broodmares out of the best European bloodlines to approved KWPN stallions with a record of producing superior sport horses.
Our goal is to produce top quality Dutch Warmbloods that will ultimately compete at the highest levels of international sport. We are thrilled to announce that our 2007 filly Contessa LWS (Numero Uno keur x Nimmerdor pref x Erdball xx pref) was ranked the #1 Jumper Bred foal and Best Young Horse in Canada by the KWPN-NA, and finished 3rd overall in North America.
Established in 1992, Longwood Stables is a private breeding facility located in Osgoode, Ontario, 45 minutes south of Ottawa, the Nation’s Capital. All of our horses are handled daily, and foals are imprinted at birth. We take great pride in the individual attention and detail that we put into each and every one of our horses.
Longwood Stables is proud to be the exlusive North American agent for both the stallions of Stal Eurocommerce located in Lochem, Holland and for Jos Lanskink, Olympic Gold Medalist, World Champion and one of the most decorated rider's of our time who's farm is located in Belgium. We are also pleased to represent the stallions of de Wiemselbach located in Ootmarsum, Holland. We work closely with all of our European partners to bring breeders access to the top show jumping sires in the world.
